Microsoft’s new Xbox One console rumoured to be codename “Scorpio” or Xbox One – Two or whatever you decide to call it will be a powerful box, according to Polygon.
The PS4K codenamed “Neo” has an upgraded GPU and CPU and is rumoured to output around 4.2 teraflops of computational power. Now that’s fast, but Microsoft may one up that as they are targeting around 6 teraflops which is 50% faster than what Sony is targeting.
This may change Microsoft’s fortunes with hardcore gamers and early adopters. The Scorpio is rumoured to be out late 2017 so there’s still a lot of time. There are rumours that they will be releasing an Xbox One slim as well which will be released later this year. It will probably be a streaming device and not something to play AAA games on.
Scorpio will be four times more powerful than the Xbox One.
