Microsoft has announced that Xbox One sales are reaching 10 million worldwide soon thanks to the $50 price cut which has tripled the sales in the US. They have also revealed that the console has been leading next-gen US sales for 2 weeks.

The NPD comes out tomorrow and it’s not clear whether the Xbox One would win it since the PR from Microsoft came today, but considering the Destiny factor for PS4 it looks unlikely that the Xbox One beat it.

However, it’s good that the Xbox One sales are on the rise as it provides competition to the leading platform which can keep Sony on its toes.

The response to this wave of blockbuster game releases and new bundles has been amazing, and sales have skyrocketed since the new price took effect on Nov. 2. Compared to the previous week, Xbox One sales in the US have more than tripled, which is exciting as more and more friends will be playing together this holiday,” Yusuf Mehdi revealed.
