assassin's creed 3 review 2

Ubisoft Q3 results are out and Assassin’s Creed 3 is a big hit commercially.

The game has shipped 12 million units and this is a lot more than the previous games in the series. The game is a “record-breaking success” and a 70% increase over Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

They have revealed that Far Cry 3 has shipped 4.5 million, and this is higher than expected performance for them. These include digital sales as well. Just Dance 4 has shipped 8 million units.

PS3 and Xbox 360 sales were neck and neck with 34% and 37% respectively. This should be a very profitable quarter for Ubisoft, considering these major games have outperformed their predecessors in a massive way.

Sales for the first nine months of the fiscal year was 1081 Euros, were up 20% year-on-year.

“Fiscal 2012-13 is a real turning point for Ubisoft,” CEO Yves Guillemot said.

“Our performance fully validates our long-term choices and the large-scale investments we have been undertaking for several years now, with a sharp ramp-up in games for core gamers and notably our strong comeback into the major segment of shooter games.”
