The Phantom Pain announced, Game hinted to be Metal Gear Solid 5

This year’s VGAs have proven to be a bit dull, but Kojima has managed to surprise everyone again.

In what seems to be a teaser or a viral teaser for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, the new trailer that was revealed at the VGAs is supposed to be a completely new game, according to Geoff Keighley, and it’s also something that many people are speculating to be Metal Gear Solid 5.

It also looks like it is a new Metal Gear Solid, when you try to fill in the words on the logo of the game which reads as The Phantom Pain. If you remember the Ground Zeroes reveal had a poster saying “Two Phantoms were born”, well we already know Big Boss is in the earlier game, so who’s in here?

Is this a viral to Ground Zeroes or an entirely new game as Keighley suggests?

The logo has a few edges on it and if you add the words Metal Gear Solid V, it actually fits. This could be troll from Kojima or an actual reveal of Project Ogre or what is also known as Metal Gear Solid V.

The game is made by Moby Dick Studio and they also have a website here, which states that the game is being made for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It also says that the studio’s head is someone named Joakim Mogren, and you can probably rearrange the first word to Kojima. However, it is an actual Swedish name, doesn’t seem like fake.

“Our goal is to deliver an uncompromising, exciting and touching game experience to people all around the globe,” reads the website.

This is clearly running on the Fox Engine–the next-generation engine of Kojima Productions, so does that mean it’s a next-gen game? Looks unlikely because of the platforms listed on the studio website. However, we could never tell since they are already making a Metal Gear Solid game for the current gen consoles.

If this turns out to be Metal Gear Solid V then it would be best for them to release it next gen to have the maximum impact.
