The Bureau: XCOM Declassified has been announced by 2k Games and we have a ton of information on the game.
The game is developed by Firaxis Games and the release date has been set on August 20 in NA and on August 23 in EU. It will be released for all the current gen platforms like PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
The game’s setting is during Cold War and you get to play as special agent William Carter. The game tells the origin story of the XCOM organisation’s first encounter with a powerful enemy. The game features tactical combat and will challenge the players to think out of the box.
Morgan Gray, creative director at 2K Marin, said: “The Bureau tells the story of XCOM’s mysterious beginnings. We’re expanding the universe with a declassified tale of government conspiracy and heroic cover-ups told through third-person tactical gameplay.”
“The team has been working hard to leverage core XCOM elements like tactical decision-making and permanent death of squad mates in a purposeful way that makes this a unique tactical shooter. To that end, The Bureau will challenge players unlike any other third-person tactical shooter.”
