Take-Two Financials Out, Ground Breaking New IP Highlighted

Take-Two have released their results for fiscal year ending March 31, 2013.

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, revealed that the next fiscal year will be one of their best ever. Grand Theft Auto 5 will be released and the game is projected to sell more than 20 million units generating a revenue of $ 1 billion or more.

“Our industry appears poised to enter an exciting growth period driven by the upcoming launches of the next-generation consoles, as well as the increasing popularity of emerging mobile and online platforms,” he said.

“Fiscal 2014 promises to be one of our best years ever, highlighted by the upcoming launch of Grand Theft Auto V in September. We also have a extraordinary pipeline of titles in development for next-generation platforms, including groundbreaking new intellectual property and releases from our proven franchises.”

There’s no idea what this new title will be since they have already announced Agent for the PS3. It could be a new title or Agent itself which we haven’t seen much.

They posted net revenues of $1.214 billion and did much better than the previous year where they had posted $825.8 million. However, the company still posted a loss of $31.2 million which is less than what they posted last year which was $107.7 million.

BioShock Infinite sold-in 3.7 million copies, while Max Payne 3 shipped 4 million copies. Borderlands 2 did 6 million.
