Steam Database shows Fez, Dyad, Halo 3 and plenty of entries

There’s a tool to check what games are registered on Steam. Well, it’s mostly reliable and has leaked many games coming to the service.

Furthermore, it looks like there are plenty of new games that could be heading to Steam. People normally use this tool to peek into the Steam database.

Some of them are games we already know like La-Mulana and Resident Evil: Revelations, however, Halo 3 has also been discovered in the database which could mean, Microsoft will start releasing older Xbox 360 games published by Microsoft Game Studios on PC, or Valve is adding support for Steam Community hubs for non-Steam games.

Here’s the listing for Halo 3 (via GAF). You can find the complete list of all the games that have been found so far below, and plenty of them are already confirmed to be heading to Steam. Games like Fez are obvious because it was confirmed to be going multiplatform.

  • La-Mulana
  • The Splatters
  • Octodad: Dadliest Catch Beta
  • Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition (Duke Nukem 3D+)
  • Super House of Dead Ninjas
  • Fez
  • LucasArts Test App
  • Fast and Furious 6
  • Lococycle
  • Yogventures!
  • Hardware
  • Hardware (Demo)
  • Dyad
  • Cut the Rope
  • Shadow Warrior Complete
  • Hardware (VIP)
  • Hardware (Internal)
  • THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII
  • Retro/Grade
  • Resident Evil: Revelations
  • THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2002 UNLIMITED MATCH
  • THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’98 ULTIMATE MATCH
  • Quantum Conundrum 2
  • Halo 3
  • Halo 2
  • Halo: Combat Evolved
  • The Witness
  • Angry Birds Space
  • Angry Birds Seasons
  • Second Life

Has something gone wrong or Halo 3 is indeed coming to the PC? Well, we know for a fact that earlier Microsoft was planning to monetize Steam, so time will tell, but for now there’s hope considering this Steam database tool has been mostly accurate.

Yeah, the Halo 3 thing is almost certainly a community hub, there’s no way Microsoft would port a 6 year old game to PC – especially seeing as Bungie are no longer working on Halo, and 343 have Xbox exclusivity. Will still be interesting though if Steam starts supporting hubs for non-Steam and non-PC games – although Raptr already does that. Still, I think Steam, what with Valve being a profitable company unlike Raptr being free will do a much better job of it.

Apart from that, glad to see Fez and Duke Nukem 3D coming to Steam! Also, Halo 1/2 are a possibility – we’ve seen Fable appear on Steam and that’s a Microsoft GFWL game, so here’s hoping for 1/2. Perhaps even Steam Halo 2 servers considering the 2 servers are now dead? That’d be awesome. Sorry about the lengthy comment!

Halo 2V would be less likely as the main servers are shutting down in 11 days, unless someone rewrites the game of course.
Halo 1 is no GfWL game and has a lot of toolkits (Custom Edition), so that could be a possibility though.

Fez isn’t coming to PS3, It’s an XNA game for one, which would take quite some time to port. Phil Fish only said that it would be coming to other platforms if possible, but did not specify which ones.

There are many bogus games on Steam’s database, so don’t get your hopes up that all of these will eventually make it to the PC.

Actually Phil’s stated that Fez would be ported specifically to the PS3 & PC. It’s somewhere here on gamechup. ;)

        >is upset with MS for charging exorbitant amounts to do a simple patch update.. so maybe he’s been fueled up enough, (& now has the bank), to figure a port?

He always wanted to do a multiplatform release but he had to wait until his contract with Microsoft expired. They got an exclusive deal on it.
