PS4: Sony will show its third party muscle and games at PS Meeting 2013

So we know that Sony will reveal the PlayStation 4 at PS Meeting 2013.

However, that event is going to be extremely important to them for a lot of reasons. Recently Michael Pachter said that they have invited investors to the event that will be held on February 20 at NYC, along with the media.

It’s clear that a new hardware unveil that too from one of their biggest brands will be seen by many, especially their shareholders, since they will be extremely interested in what Sony has in stored for turning the company’s fortunes around.

The very reason they have invited the investors tells us that they are going to be showing how much support the system has from third-party publishers. They are going to give a reason to the investors and tell them why this product is going to be a game changer for the company.

The PS4 matters to Sony as a whole, and unlike the Vita, which didn’t have the support of the industry behind it for obvious reasons, PS3’s successor won’t face the same issues.

This makes it clear that we will see a montage with tons of games not only from third-party publishers like EA and Activision, but also from Sony’s internal studios like Polyphony Digital and Guerrilla Games.

The PS Meeting 2011 showcased Vita’s hardware capabilities and some games were also shown like Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

However, games are going to be the main priority when it comes to the PS4 reveal because that’s the only thing that will convince their shareholders and investors that the system has a future–that and the pricing of course, which should be revealed at E3 this year.

Sony PlayStation, the overhype and underdeliver brand only retarded people fall for every single time.
Announcing a new console now, when E3 is only a little 3 months away, is just absolute desperation.
Good luck with that $150 Billion of ever increasing debt $ony! No wonder you need investors at this meeting as you’re letting the brand die, look at the Vita and the vastly decreased market share of the PS3.
      Bye Sony!

only retards pay for access to online games, netflix, love film and other services you can access for free with ps3, tablets and pcs. stop trolling you moron any games company going away is bad for the industry. I wouldn’t want to be stuck with Kinect games and halo every fukin year. Its about choice and variety, if you dislike sony fine, no need to read a positive article and post your vile comments. I dislike MS but i don’t spent my time posting negative comments on any ms articles, i simply do not buy their products.

that is true. But MS has done a good job overall with 360 as well.

Is that the perception in the USA? in the rest of the world 360 and its red lights has been the major flop in a console system ever along with the kinect crap, no new exclusive franchises since years, the abandon of the classic gamers. Heck, even the PS3 online it’s now better than 360. MS it’s lucky to have a great number of loyal customers that care more about protecting the brand than himself.

    • Eccentricone

How many publishers do you see supporting the Vita? Even Sony’s own studios aren’t making games for it like Naughty Dog.

this article is tabloidish nonsense. Nothing here is actual fact and dellusions of a fanboy writer

Ok, I hope this does not start a war of words by varying console fans. Let me start by saying I own a PS3, Wii U, 3DS XL, PSP and (very proudly) a Colecovision…and I like each one for it’s own merits. I am really enjoying the new Wii U and I think it has great potential! Do any of you out there who own a PS3 or Xbox 360 also own a Wii U? And if so what do you think of it? I am hoping for responses from players who don’t feel the need to bash Nintendo for just now catching up with high definition. I know the Wii U will seem underpowered when the 2 competitors come out with their new systems, but I have to repeat myself and say I really like the Wii U. Once you get used to holding their new gamepad controller it is really comfortable in hand and the second screen can be put to great use…I personally would love the option to clean up my tv screen by putting the hud and maps and so on on the gamepad. I think all 3 console makers should be able to be successful, and I think it would be great if they all differ in ways. If all 3 were equally powered, had the same controller and made the same type games what would be the point? Peace to all fellow gamers.
