Sony issues statement on PS4 firmware 4.45 issues

ps3 super slim featured

Sony has officially commented on the issues that has been affecting a lot of users resulting in bricked PS3. We had reported that the issue was due to people upgrading their harddrives and putting something more than 500GB in size.

The update has been pulled for now but many people have been reporting that their PS3’s weren’t booting up after updating.

Here’s the statement by the company.

We are aware of reports that the recent PlayStation 3 system software update (version 4.45) has caused the XMB to not display on a small number of PS3 systems. We have temporarily taken 4.45 offline and are investigating the cause of the problem. We will announce when the system update is available for download as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Sony may released a new update soon but for now you don’t have to update anything. We will keep you updated. Stay tuned to Gamechup.
