Capcom have gone back to their horror roots with Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. The game was announced at Sony’s E3 press conference in a less exciting way. Most of us thought it was going to be something about Resident Evil VR due to the first-person view but we were wrong.
They are using a proprietary in-house engine for the game and the visuals do look great. The game is set after the events of Resident Evil 6 and is set in a sprawling plantation estate in rural America.
A demo for the game has gone live for the PS4 so you can check it out right now. The game’s existence was revealed via Capcom’s financial reports.
The game comes out on the PS4, Xbox One and PC next year on January 24th. The game resembles P.T. a lot and that is definitely a great tech demo to be inspired from.
