Reggie Gives Reasons Why The Switch Won’t Bomb Like the Wii U

The Wii U totally missed the mark and didn’t achieve the market penetration its successor did. However, Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo of America, has said that their upcoming home console called The Switch, will not meet the same fate because it appeals to all groups of people.

“Nintendo Switch is a home console you can play anywhere, with anyone. Clear. Compelling,” he revealed “We see the reaction by consumers whether it’s measured in Twitter trending topics or views of videos on YouTube or just the frequency with which I get called by old high school buddies that I haven’t heard from in 30 years who are asking me how to get their hands on Nintendo Switch. We have communicated the proposition clearly and it is compelling.”

Now Reggie is a master PR guy and can spin anything into a favourable thing so people need to take this with a grain of salt. The Switch and The Wii U looks a lot similar, and considering Nintendo stock price fell down after the reveal, things could be tricky for them.

Here are the possible Nintendo Switch specs. Earlier we speculated whether The Switch was really an innovative product or not.
