When Insomniac Games announced Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus, there was a slight sense of satisfaction on my face because I never wanted this series to end. While there’s a slight disappointment that it’s on the PS3, the $39 price point makes the deal a lot sweeter.
The game has no multiplayer mode and the game length is said to be somewhere between A Crack in Time and Quest for Booty. In other words, it’s their biggest downloadable game so far.
There’s going to be a story that ties into Ratchet’s personal story and the game has been in development for a year now. The team is focused on making a fantastic singleplayer game.
There’s a platinum trophy and a challenge mode. The game features no co-op. They have also given the reason as to why it’s not a full game like A Crack in Time: “We set out to make the biggest and best single-player Ratchet & Clank game we could with the time and resources we were allowed, and then we wanted to price it competitively.”
Earlier we reported a few more details on the game, and it shows that the PS3 still has some oomph left in its 7th year.
