PS4K is Codenamed NEO, Specs Revealed – Report

new ps4 1tb

Sony is hard at work in developing a new PS4 which is internally codenamed NEO. The PS4 which is being referred to as PS4K features CPU, GPU and RAM upgrades and will run all the existing PS4 games at a high fidelity.

Giantbomb has also found out that Sony does not want to splinter the userbase so they will be making sure there is no exclusive content for the NEO. The entire PS4 ecosystem will be available on the NEO. PS4 and NEO users will be able to play PSN games together but the latter at a higher graphical fidelity.

The specs are revealed as well. It does not seem like a massive jump but should be enough horsepower to easily run all games in 1080p and 60fps.

Someone at Sony clearly has an obsession with The Matrix considering the PSVR was codenamed Morpheus.

Earlier Gamestop had hinted at new consoles as well. The rumours got credibility with the WSJ report.
