The PlayStation 4 is set to be revealed on February 20, and we have a rumoured pricing for the device.
Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun has stated that the system will launch this year and will also cost 40,000 yen which is about $420 when you convert.
Direct conversions should not apply for western markets because the pricing will be slightly higher than the Japanese one but the system could cost $450 all said and done.
The system’s specs have been rumoured to be powerful, and it is also said to feature a redesigned controller and recording functionality. The PS3 now costs 25,000 yen in Japan, and is about $270 in the western markets.
The newspaper also states that the system will be released this year in US and Japan, with a 2014 launch in the Europe.
This pricing is definitely cheaper than the PS3 launch price and Sony has also made the system easier to develop for. More information about it will be revealed on February 20, Asahi reveals.
