Stunning PS4 Game Cases, Which Concepts Do You Like?

Let’s be honest, we are kind of tired of PS3 game cases since it’s been almost 7 years since the console came out.

The console has been unveiled but we have no idea of how the PS4 game cases look. Now it would be really boring is Sony went with a similar design like the PS3 game cases–small and clear. It’s about time they do something come up with something interesting that makes owning physical copies still viable.

In the age of digital distribution, where most games are available on PSN day 1, why would anyone even bother with physical copies when there are so many disadvantages of owning it like space concerns and having to switch discs each time when you want to play something new.

Alright, I know some people are OK with it, and that’s fine, but there’s something about these physical copies that still make owning them and seeing the collection grow a satisfying thing.

We have a few concepts made by talented people, which shows what Sony could potential go with for PS4 game cases. Check them out below and let us know which ones you like and want Sony to go with.

Personally the black one looks stunning because let’s be honest, owning clear cases is very dull and don’t really stand out much. It will be better if Sony go with something sturdy other than plastic, but considering they have to save cost, and make money on games, that probably won’t happen.

The PS4 game cases will probably be shown at E3 this year. It will be interesting to see what the company goes with but in case they see this concepts, I would prefer them to go with the black case concept, because it looks amazing.

So which ones do you like? If you have some feedback on them, let us know.

I always prefer a physical copy of a game. Not only can you take it to anyone’s home who owns the same console and play it, but you have something tangible to hold in your hand (which feels like better value to me). I am not particularly bothered by the case, but I would like Sony to return to the PS1 style disc coatings (the data side being a shiny black was very sexy). Also I would like a return to proper instruction manuals (like you used to get with Amiga games). These would often be 1-200 page booklets that would give you so much information about the game mechanics and in-depth stuff that you just don’t seem to get any more. You could read these books and come up with new strategies and ideas on how to play the game when you weren’t even near your machine ( also if there was a power cut, you could still read the books and feel like you were still part of the gaming experience).

PauperStation is lame and sucks. PS4 is going to fail hard and after the epic failure of the Vita, the end of $0NY.

PauperStation? Well, that’s new. At least your original. Too bad it doesn’t make any sense.

Present logical reasons why Sony is a terrible company & why Sony’s mistakes will cost them to go under because as it stands your argument is flawed & or your creditably & or any respect you have & or had will quickly diminish!

Sony has shown no signs of slowing down with strong sales growth in both software & hardware with countless exclusive releases & hardware bundle deals for the playstation 3 alone every year.Sony has since learned from most of their mistakes with playstation 3 by strengthening the security of the playstation network, offering countless online sales, deals & specials etc..,Sony also made playstation vita & playstation 4 developer friendly right out of the box with respectably powerful & efficient hardware to match with a wealth of promising future content offering to come from all parties etc. etc.. etc…!

P.S. if you don’t like Sony’s products, content offerings & services that’s your choice but don’t come on here acting like a complete illogical fool without any logical reason behind your displeasure with Sony’s products, content offerings & services because it’s not helping your argument out what so ever it’s diminishing it instead!

Up against the Xbox 720, Sony will have a hard time with the PS4. And if Wii U sales pick up, it’ll be a right dog fight. The PS4 will just continue down the PS3 road. After the PS4 showcase, Microsoft cannot fail when it comes to showing off the Xbox 720 tomorrow.

Physical copies will never die, because most people feel like the have actually bought something when they get the physical product in the hand. Why should they change the covers so much from the PS3? I mean it all comes down to the quality of the boxart, and the attention to detail. I like the fact that in 10 years from now, i can hook up my PS3 and play the games like it was meant to! The most stupid argument ever is that “oh i have to get my lazy butt up from the sofa”, maybe the nerds need that little workout and should buy games in retail stores. They get their asses out of the houses and some fresh air! What happens to the games you buy on Xbox live and steam 10 years from now, nobody can tell you that for sure. But the disc you bought is yours forever, and the digital copy you got is only downloaded with the permission to use. Another thing is the big storage the new games will hold around 50-100GB, you should buy your self a hell of a large hard drive for hundreds of dollars for storage, do think 2TB will hold…wrong. You also need a super fast internet connection, and most of the world do not have access to such resources. When PS5 comes out in 6-7 years it will still be discs that holds even more data and so forth. Never write off physical storage, it is here to stay for a long long time…

It would be so awesome if they made cases to a certain colour that the developer chose, for example how AC REV case was black.

So Shadowfall could be black, knack will be blue
    etc. :)

Only if Sony makes the jewl cases for playstation 4 more durable then the original playstation jewl cases other wise no thanks!

They should go with lime green especially at the top of the packshot. Nothing like a colour that ruins over 95% of covers for the console. Wait no don’t do that, in fact, do anything else but that. Example for proof×337.jpg

I like the 3rd case with the black case, the orange helghan mask imprinted on it & the blue trim finish to be killzone shadow fall’s official game case because it’s not overly flashy & or dull & or tacky looking it’s a very nice artistic presentation.

    Cheers Gamers & Happy Gaming!

The blue one looks just like the PS Vita cases.. no way they’d use that.

It would be badass if they use the same physical dimension size of the ps1 game case but a more environmental friendly plastic. And just like Google chrome, the ps4 logo could be a tab, with other functionality like online play or exclusives being another tab beside the logo.

clear plastic casing look much better.
    short, simple, to the point.

black casing would go better with PS5

Game boxes have always been too big, more so when you consider some games don’t come with manuals which are pointless. Vita game boxes are the best, so Xbox 720 and PS4 games should be about the same size (slightly bigger to house a disc). I hope next gen ditches manuals, but I can’t see Nintendo doing that. Even 3DS game boxes are too big.
