President Obama proposes research on video games and violence

It was only about time that video games were going to be blamed and action taken.

The action here is just a simple proposal by president Obama for the congress to study the relationship between video games and violence. This, however, had to be done due to the revolting families affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting that caused the life of plenty of kids.

The research is said to look into what causes people to depict violent behaviour after playing video games. This study is not only for video games but also for all media in general. $10 million has been set aside to study this thoroughly.

“If there’s even one thing we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we have an obligation to try it… I will put everything I’ve got into this, and so will Joe, but I tell you the only way we can change is if the American people demand it,” president Obama said.

The money set aside is part of a larger pool of money which will be used for many things and is mainly aimed at reducing gun violence in America.
