Fez, an indie game released by Polytron Corporation, is critically acclaimed. However, there was a minor issue in the game Xbox Live Arcade related to the save system and it couldn’t be patched due to the exorbitant fees charged by Microsoft for patches.
People who were stuck had to restart the game and there was no sign of a patch in sight. Phil Fish, who created the game, constantly mocked Microsoft due to their policies. Recently Microsoft announced that they won’t be charging money for title updates and naturally people started asking about a new patch for Fez.
Well, that’s coming, according to Phil Fish. He tweeted: “GOOD NEWS EVERYONE: we’re going to patch FEZ on XBLA!”
FEZ 2 has already been announced but he did say that it won’t be released on Microsoft platforms. Maybe he has changed his mind now? The original game is now out on the PC as well.
