PewDiePie Slips Up During Stream, Uses Racial Slur, Devs Upset

Pewdiepie has been caught using a racial slur during a PUBG livestream. He was already in trouble earlier after being accused of being anti-semitic.

He quickly realised what he said was wrong and tried to correct it but it was caught and it doesn’t look too good.

The video of him saying it has been posted below. PewDiePie has 57 million YouTube subscribers which is a record.

Earlier Disney had severed ties with him for the anti-semitic controversy he had generated and it looks like he won’t be let off the hook so easily here too.

A developer for Firewatch has condemned this and is trying to take down all his game content from PewDiePiew’s channel.

“He’s worse than a closeted racist: he’s a propagator of despicable garbage that does real damage to the culture around this industry. I’d urge other developers & will be reaching out to folks much larger than us to cut him off from the content that has made him a millionaire,” said Sean Vanaman of Campo Santo.

PewDiePie has to be careful since he’s such a big influence on this generation. He needs to use his popularity in a responsible way.
