The Xbox One controller is able to hold a charge of 10-12 hours on the rechargeable battery while a Eneloop battery might offer more juice between charges. While it’s really not a big deal to manually charge the batteries or use USB cord, the ability to charge your controller in less than 60 seconds can come in handy.
Imagine your controller losing power during a multiplayer game and you charge the thing rapidly before starting the next round?
Now, we don’t know if it’s safe or whether the battery may explore or not. Probably not since the accessory maker would’ve tested it. Still, we would rather recommend you to wait until the reviews are out.
“The Super Charger’s unique ability to recharge the Xbox One controller in just seconds reduces interruption in game play sessions – a full recharge during a quick break provides convenience to all gamers,” said PDP’s CTO Tom Roberts.
More details on the accessory are expected soon so stay tuned.
