Nintendo is hard at work on a next-gen system which was announced during the joint Nintendo-Dena conference. We are not sure whether it’s a home console or a handheld but it is said to utilize a brand new concept.
It will most likely be a new handheld system, a successor to the 3DS. Nintendo recently announced that they will be releasing their IP on smartphones and PC and have collaborated with Dena to make it possible.
This will complement their dedicated hardware business and will be a separate thing. They also announced a new subscription/account system which will be devleoped using Dena’s skills.
