Microsoft temporarily drops the Xbox One price to $350 in NA

xbox one 350 price drop

Microsoft has issued a challenge to Sony and they are serious about clawing back the marketshare they have lost in the NA region. They have announced that the Xbox One will be available for $350 during the holiday season in the US.

Now this is $50 less than that of the PS4 and when you take into consideration that there are interesting exclusive software in the horizon for Xbox One, this deal really may change the fortunes of the console in the region.

Sunset Overdrive, a new IP from Insomniac Games, has received some great reviews compared to, say, Driveclub of Sony. The PS4’s lineup for this holiday season also sounds pretty weak in comparison to Xbox One’s because games like The Order: 1886 and Bloodborne will be released next year.

If Microsoft manages to outsell the PS4 this holiday season then the momentum will be on their side, however, the PS4 being slightly powerful than the Xbox One also plays in the consumers’ mind.

There are also some new Xbox One bundles which we think will sell really well.

The Season of Xbox will begin on November 2, when Xbox One will be available for a special, limited-time promotional offer of $349 in the U.S. Special promotional pricing of $50 off the console of your choice applies to any Xbox One console, including special edition bundles, offering some of the year’s most anticipated games – Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Sunset Overdrive.
