Microsoft had earlier revealed that they were Microsoft Points were going to be phased out for local currency and now we have some new details on this process.
The next system update will start the conversion to local currency, the company has revealed. They have said that when you buy a card or a code, your account will get currency equal to or greater than the Xbox Marketplace value of the points.
There will also be gift cards that will be buyable either through online retailers in local stores. If you have some Microsoft Points Cards, then you will still be able to redeem them and the points will be converted to your local currency.
