Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Release Date Confirmed

Konami has announced the release date for Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection for North America.

It will be released on July 9th exclusively for the PS3, and the Xbox 360 version isn’t happening because of Metal Gear Solid 4 which will take approximately 7 discs on the system. However, a next-gen port on the Xbox 720 could be possible, creator of the franchise Hideo Kojima  has revealed.

It will be priced at $49.99 which is a fantastic value for all these amazing games. Konami had earlier confirmed the existence of the collection after a listing was spotted on the Korean rating boards.

The collection contains “Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition which includes the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition and two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels.”

It also features “an all-new 100 page art book highlighting marketing art from across the globe, spanning the profound 25 year history of the esteemed franchise.”
