Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection is real, Konami releases details

Konami has confirmed the Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection and have released the official PR for the same.

It was earlier revealed by Korean video game rating board and Kojima had also tweeted an image of the same. Now we have another image along with why this collection was created.

This is exclusive to the PS3 and contains Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition (which includes the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.

“We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console,” Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami said. “With the collection’s multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today.”

We don’t know how much the collection costs but it doesn’t look like a $60 one, but we will keep you updated once we get some info on that. This collection is a great way for people new to the franchise get all the MGS game in a pack without having to buy separate ones, and also something MGS fans would buy just because they are fans.
