Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain which is looking like the best game ever made will also feature an online component and user generated missions. Just when you thought the single player would be enough, the game has more content in stored for you guaranteeing a lot of replayability.
You can create user-generated missions within the world using tablets and smartphones. Kojima added that if the game was a linear one people wouldn’t be able to do that.
“Using tablets and smart phones you can also enjoy Metal Gear Solid V and create user-generated missions within the world,” he told CVG. “That’s another reason we had to go open-world—if it was linear we wouldn’t be able to do that.”
The online component is in development at Kojima Productions Los Angeles and in collaboration with the main team in Tokyo.
Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is a prologue to Metal Gear Sold 5: The Phantom Pain and both of them may be released separately but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
You can check out the stunning gameplay trailer here along with an extended one as well. The game has no release date but it is expected to be out in 2014 and has been confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One. It was showcased at Microsoft’s E3 conference this year.
