MAG, SOCOM 4, and SOCOM Confrontation Servers go offline soon

Have you never played MAG? Now is your time to play one of the most underrated multiplayer games of this generation. The reason for that is Sony will be shutting down the servers for the game, along with a few other made by Zipper Interactive–a studio that was closed last year.

Here’s what the official Twitter account of PlayStation tweeted:

Advisory: Online multiplayer services for MAG, SOCOM Confrontation, and SOCOM 4 will be ending on 01/28/14

SOCOM 4 and Confrontation received a lot of flak for separate reasons. SOCOM 4 wasn’t even a proper SOCOM game according to fans, and Confrontation was just broken. Zipper Interactive made a terrific game in MAG, but there weren’t really a lot of people playing the 256 player multiplayer.

If you had to choose between which game to play, then by all means go for MAG. We will keep you updated once we hear more on this.
