Polish magazine PSXextreme has revealed some new information on Vita’s upcoming shooter Killzone Mercenary.
The game is supposed to possess the same visual quality as the PS3 Killzone games, which may be a surprise to many, considering none of the games so far have looked anything close to the PS3 versions. The Vita’s engine is said to be running 1:1 with the PS3 version.
Character models are awesome, the same with animation. The game offers a stable FPS even with gigantic action inside levels. It is also said to be like a portable Killzone 3, looking better than Uncharted.
The engine is supposed to have more features exclusively for the PS Vita, and we presume it’s the touch-based things.
Also more details on the game are said to be revealed next week by Sony. So it looks like the magazines have gotten their information out first. Being a huge Killzone fan and a Vita owner, this brings a smile to my face, but it will be interesting to see how the controls will be on the system, since that’s one area where Guerrilla tends to mess up. They did well with Killzone 3 though.
