Japanese Third-Parties Are Now Developing For Switch

After the Wii U disaster, many third-parties were worried about investing in Nintendo’s newest console Switch. The console has been having a great run in the market and is nearing 7 million sales after launching in March this year.

This success along with the release of high profile games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey has ensured that the Switch will have a tremendous holiday and Nintendo has revised their forecast for this fiscal year to 14 million units, and that gives developers a great install base for their games.

A report from the WSJ states that Japanese third-parties are now scrambling to release games for the Switch. So a lot of games are expected for the Switch in 2019 because of this delay and wait and watch attitude of the developers.
