Here’s How to Run Mass Effect Andromeda Smoothly On a Weak PC

Mass Effect Andromeda is a pretty good looking game on all consoles and PC. It will look spectacular on the PC especially if you have a beefy system. However, if you don’t have a top of the line PC, you can still run Mass Effect Andromeda smoothly without major issues.

The game is currently out as a 10 hour trial and many people have been reporting good performance on a variety of hardware. A Reddit user named Adameme has posted his settings which will make the game run well on a weak PC.

Now the obvious thing to do is to set the base settings to the lowest. AA needs to go as that is a major performance hit. The game features jetpacks and is usually pretty fun to play.

Rest of the settings you can check below. The game will be out on March 23rd for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, as well as the PS4 Pro.

  • Settings Base: Lowest
  • Anti-Aliasing: FFXA (without AA, jagged edges are painfully noticeable. Having at least this one makes everything look a lot more digestible without too much of a performance nuke.)
  • Env./terrain quality: Medium (this is the only ‘Quality’ setting I have above Lowest, as I value the visual detail of Andromeda’s beautiful new worlds a lot!)
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Resolution Scale: Auto 720p
