PS4 must be selling really well in the United States as Gamestop has closed its PS4 pre-orders. What this means is, their stock allocation has probably been hit and Sony had allocated them a high stock compared to Microsoft’s Xbox One.
The launch edition was sold out on Amazon long time ago and only standard edition is available along with a bunch of bundles. The bundles are also available at Gamestop, and they could be pushing them instead of the standard models to make more money.
The likely scenario is that they hit their allocation count. You won’t be able to pre-order it unless they start it again but Amazon still has it online, so you can go through that route.
Earlier it was rumoured that the pre-orders for both consoles would end on June 21 but that wasn’t the case. Analysts are also saying that Gamestop is set to benefit a lot from the PS4 and Xbox One launch.
We will keep you updated once we hear more about this. Stay tuned to Gamechup.
