Square Enix has officially confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will be delayed by two months and the new date is November 29. It’s only a two month wait from the previous release date but the reasoning for the delay from game director Hajime Tabata is pretty sound.
He mentioned that the game has gone gold, which means it’s finished, but they wanted to release a massive day 1 patch to improve the game. However, considering there are people with no internet they decided to delay the game to include the patch and the game will also have other additions.
There will also be a 30 minute gameplay video which will be shown at Gamescom that contains footage from the previous remaster.
Here’s Tabata explaining the reason for the delay. The game will be out this year and it has been a long wait for fans because it was announced way back in 2006. The game will feature classical FF enemies.
