Square Enix has stopped Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn’s digital orders. They have mentioned that there are too many players playing the game resulting in downtime. However, there is a server expansion planned and they have given the reason for the temporary stoppage.
“Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, we are currently experiencing extremely long wait times for users to be able to log in and play,” the company revealed.
“As a temporary measure, we will halt sales of Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn’s digital download products so we can accommodate all of those wishing to play. We are working to expand our server capacity in the coming days. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes.”
The game was originally launched on the PC and was received poorly by critics, however, it seems the PS3 version will score a lot better now due to the tenacity of the company to stick with the product and enhance it.
Final Fantasy 14 is available on the PC and PS3.
