FFX and FFX-2 will be on 1 disc on the PS3 – Confirmed via Jump

Earlier there was a rumour that FFX and FFX-2 will be available for the PS3 and both of them will be on one disc.

Now it has been confirmed via Shonen Jump. The game will be released sometime later this year on the PS3 and PS Vita. The Vita version of the games will be sold separately and will feature a distinct trophy set.

It will also feature additional International content. Chocobo racing anyone? It’s will be really interesting to see how these games are priced on the PS Vita, but PS3 owners will be having a blast with two of the best Final Fantasy games (X-2 is great) on one disc.

Check out the confirmation scan below.

What they meant by additional International content was the additional content they added on the International versions of the game. Like how FF10-2 was almost a complete diff game gameplay-wise. You have the ability to catch monsters in each part of the Island(like pokemon) and use them in battle. Each monster has a story and you have to complete their story and later release them. The monsters include almost all the characters in FFx and x-2 including Seymour, Lulu, Wakka, Tidus, Trema, Kimahri, Brother, CId, and a LOT more. Thay also added more dresspheres, more dialogue, more scenes and a whole new game called “The Last Mission” which is a like a strategy game of sorts which continues the story of FFx-2 although it just explains more on the past events and what they are currently doing and also focuses on the relationship of Yuna, Rikku and Paine.
