Fez 2 has been supposedly cancelled after a Twitter drama

Phil Fish, creator of Fez, was recently embroiled in a controversy with Gametrailers’ Marcus Beer, where some unfortunate things happened which resulted him in cancelling Fez.

Fez 2 was announced for a bunch of platforms but won’t be on the Xbox One, however, it looks like Fish wasn’t really joking.

Here’s what Polytron’s Twitter account read:

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that FEZ II has been cancelled and is no longer in development. We apologize for the disappointment.

He could have a change of mind later, but as of now the game has been cancelled. For people excited about playing the game, I guess contacting him and making him realize the right thing is the way to go. You just don’t cancel something because of an altercation with an industry member.

We will keep you updated once we hear more on this. Stay tuned to Gamechup.
