Evolution of Lara Croft’s model: First game to the Reboot

Games evolve as tech evolves and game developers evolve.

One of the best ways of how this can be shown is by comparing games that were released years ago to the latest one to see how far we have come.

There have been tons of Tomb Raider games that have come out, and you may remember the first game and its blocky textures. If you have played the latest reboot which looks like a movie, the amount of technological leap is bewildering.

We have a screenshot of Lara Croft, the lead protagonist of the Tomb Raider games, and it shows her character model evolution.

Check it out below.

The reboot’s design is terrible, I’d pick bad graphics over bad design any day. Classic, badass Lara FTW!

The reboot’s design is one of the strongest they have produced, in my opinion. There is so much more character development in that one game than there has been throughout the series. She may not be as bad ass but she is still an incredible character. I’m impressed that they actually managed to show less skin in this design, and I prefer it. Her soft and innocent expression in the game one me over quicker than the hard ass Lara from any other.

People can have their own desires, but I’m just worried that they gave into political correctness when they showed less skin. While we can have a variety of characters, we shouldn’t have to apologize for having sexy ones like some radicals want us to (I’m not accusing you of being one, just that I don’t want them influencing the game designers)

its funny cuz the reboot is the youngest so she should be on the left
