Dragon’s Dogma patch could corrupt data, back up saves

Capcom has just warned people that downloading the Dragon’s Dogma patch could corrupt your save data.

If you have invested 100 hours in the game and are preparing to play the Dark Arisen expansion pack, be sure to back up your saved data as you could lose it if it becomes corrupted. Fortunately PS + can auto upload save data to cloud.

The expansion pack uses the save data from Dragon’s Dogma and in case it is corrupted it won’t use it. So be sure to back both the save data up if you are already playing Dark Arisen.

The game’s are lengthy and require you to invest quite a bit of time to finish the quests. There’s no different save slots and the game also autosaves at regular intervals. Backing them up to cloud or USB drives before patching is much recommended.
