Destiny DLC Content on Disc? New Strikes and Raids revealed due to Glitch

destiny featured

Destiny’s future content has been leaked due to a glitch a player encountered and some of that content may already be in the disc. You can even glitch into some of these places and be able to see the new enemies, which means the DLC was simply locked and was already on the disc. Maybe not all.

There will be initially two DLCs released for the game which adds new strikes raids and new crucible maps. The raids are important because we have only one right now called The Vault of Glass and it’s supposed to be the hardest raid created by Bungie. The game is definitely lacking content right now and if Activision forced Bungie to cut some content from the main game for DLC, then that would have been a bad decision.

Details of the new content are as follows (thanks, Reddit)

Earth

  • Strike [Level 10] – The Jovian Complex: A new Hive brood gathers it’s strength beneath the cosmodrome. Find their master and purge them all.
  • Story Missions – There seems to be 4 more story missions located in the North East section of the map in the Kings Watch section

Moon

  • Strike [Level 14] – The House of Wolves: No description
  • Strike [Level 26] – The Summoning Pits: Xyor, the Unwed awaits your arrival at the bottom of the Hellmouth (part of an exotic bounty not new expansion content. Thanks to /u/The7ruth)
  • RAID [Level 28] – Crota’s End: He waits in the dark below

Venus

  • Story Mission – There appears to be a new story mission in “The Terminus”

Mars

  • Strike [Level 20] – The Hypogeum: The ressurection of the Black Garden has begun. Stop the Vex before the Garden’s heart beats again.

Reef

  • RAID [Level 28] – Reef Raid: No Description

Crucible

  • Skirmish [Special Event?] – Only the worthy may face the Trials of Osiris for only the worthy are strong enough to endure what is to come.

A string of victories will earn you great rewards – but lose three times and you’re out.

  • 3v3 Team Deathmatch
  • Level Advantages Enabled
  • Weekly Rewards
  • Trial Set Gear
  • Ascendant Materials
  • Crucible Marks

You can check out the new content in the video below.

    Welp. First.

Its pretty obvious that the destiny shipped on disc is only the first 1/3of the and. Activision without question had them chop off tons of content for dlc.

There is NO WAY what we got was 4-5 years of work. They started work on destiny before odst shipped s evident by the destiny easter egg in odst. They were in full Dev of destiny while a small team made halo reach.

You really think in all that time what shipped is all they finished? Hell no. Activision has pulled the greatest screw job on gamers the world has ever seen.

Can you prove that it’s on the disc though? and not added with one of the later content patches? I mean I don’t doubt there was some content there but considering there are plenty of games that have 5-6 hour campaigns and charge $60 I think that’s a little harsh to say the game is a screw job, I mean weeks later even hardcore players are still working on getting to 30 with all the endgame stuff… and to be fair it’s not like they hid the fact that they were going to be releasing DLC for it lol

I’m not saying it’s on the disc. I think that’s irrelevant really.

Playing the game even without knowing more content is coming it just feels like the opening part of a full game. The story just starts moving right as it ends which would make it a good first act.

Since they seemingly cut a lot out of the main game though that first act because the complete story of the game and in that case its nothing short of awful and it makes no sense.

I checked the Marketplace for the First DLC. The size is around 10 MB, so it is on the disc.

From Bungie about First DLC The Dark Below:

“Set deep beneath the surface of the Moon, fans will discover an ancient tomb that has been unsealed, and a dark god who has risen an evil army in the depths of the Hellmouth, the home of the Hive enemy race”

And more detailed information about The Dark Below:

Destiny’s first official DLC pack is The Dark Below, which adds new story missions, Strike missions, competitive multiplayer features, gear, armour and weapons. It’s out in December, and will take you through unfamiliar parts of areas that are included with the main game, which means that you’ll still rub shoulders occasionally with players who don’t own the DLC.

That is IT for the FIRST DLC.

Anyone “hoping” for “planets” or anything like that, it is NOT happening.

Already confirmed Dark Below is on the Moon.

Sorry Bungie, I’m not waiting until DECEMBER to get this DLC, I am gladly trading in Destiny today to get credit for other games coming out real soon, some new games release tomorrow and next week.

But how could it be proven that it’s on the disc? I mean I’m not doubting that’s possible, but how can anyone say that it definitely wasn’t added with any of the post launch patches? Just curious, not saying either way…

A few patches no more than 10mb each constitutes as two expansion packs? I some how don’t think so. This is disc-based content unlocked with a single 128KB key file.

Where do you see 10MB? doesn’t list that on the PlayStation Store… but if the whole thing is really 10MB, you’re right, but my whole issue was more that how do you know that’s the case? Just curious where it lists it as 10MB.
