It looks like Bungie’s new game and also sequel to Destiny will be called Destiny 2: Forge of Hope. This was leaked on Reddit so we do not know whether it is accurate but this one looks to be true to similarities with the other rumours by reputed sites.
The game is being made on a new engine so Bungie will be able to update the game really fast which means lots of new content. Destiny had a problem with the engine which caused a lot of trouble to Bungie, but this looks to be fixed with the sequel.
The story is set after the events of The Taken King. You fight the cabal and try to reclaim the city. Cabal seems to be a huge focus and we might actually get the very first Cabal raid.
The first major expansion is said to be released in fall 2018. Destiny 2: Forge of Hope is expected to come out later this year between November 4th to November 18th. It’s also a month where Call of Duty comes out.
You might not be able to transfer your characters but will get more options to change appearances. Destiny 2 skipped 2016 for a 2017 launch. The game will be launched on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S, Scorpio and PC, according to the leaker.
This is a rumour for now so take it with a grain of salt. Activison’s fourth quarter hearings are soon so we will probably get more info from it.
