  • The Rest (Case Zero, Off  the Record): 1.2 million

The “Dead Rising” series is a survival horror action game where players must fight off an endless onslaught of zombies while attempting to uncover the truth behind an cause of the incident. As of March 31, 2013, the series has sold more than 5.4 million units.

Its not bad actually, if dead rising 2 got 2.5 million for a niche game, eg like dark souls, thats fine.

But i forgot games are soooo expensive these days that you need 3 million plus to break even, pathetic and thats why it gone exlusive, let ms fund its development.

I’m curious about DR2 console/console/PC split in terms of units per device. Maybe this has something to do with exclusivity (say, for instance, it was a 15/75/10 split in the order shown above which gave the extra push to consider exclusivity). The reason I ask is that it is super doubtful that the game would go back to exclusive if the sales for the PS3 version outsold X360

So it sold less over all than the witcher, despite the first witcher game being pc only?

Dead Rising was a great idea, but it was just a poor game. Dead Rising 2 was better, but more or the same. The Wii U version was a bit poor graphically, but it played better than the Xbox 360 version, even though it was missing certain things (less zombies etc.). Dead Rising 3 looks like it’s running on rails, like Left 4 Dead. But zombie games are always annoying. Lack of health, crap weapons (some become unusable) and lack of ammo need to change in zombie games. After ZombiU and Dead Island, I gave up on this genre.

DR3 is great and a welcome launch title for the One.
