So far, only PC gamers were experiencing Dark Souls 2 at a high visual fidelity and smooth framerate, and now Namco Bandai has announced that the game will be remastered in 1080p and 60fps for consoles as well.
The remaster which is called Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin edition will be released on 7th April for the next-gen and last gen consoles as well as PC.
The next-gen version has upgraded graphics which include upgraded lighting effects and cinematic filters. Enemies can also follow you through fog gates so make sure to kill them before challenging a boss.
Here’s a great comparison from IGN showing what you can expect from the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
