Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG from CDProjekt RED, and we have some new details on the game.
Łukasz Szczepankowski, senior quest designer of the game, revealed some new information about the game in an interview with dutch site Gamestalker, and we have translated some of the information below.
The teaser trailer that was shown earlier by CD Projekt RED was entirely CGI, and that’s exactly the in-game visual fidelity they are targeting.
“Of course the teaser trailer is a CGI movie, but indeed this is our starting point and we are targeting graphics of that quality, we will hopefully be able to utilize the hardware effectively,” Szczepankowski told the site, when asked whether the teaser trailer was a representative of the real-time in-game graphics.
He also said that this is another version of the RED Engine. The engine is constantly being improved and tuned for efficiently displaying an open world–not only for Cyberpunk but also for the new dark fantasy game that will be announced on February 5.
This dark fantasy game will have a non-linear narrative determined by choice, combined with an open world (possibly The Witcher 3).
He also confirmed something that we’ve known before about Cyberpunk 2077. He said that the game will feature a gripping, non-linear story, intertwined with an open world environment.
