Call of Duty: Ghosts has officially been confirmed by Activision and it will be released on current and next-gen platforms.
There’s not really any info on why the publisher has chosen to go with Ghosts in the title, but in the earlier post we covered that they were experimenting with the Phantom name as well.
The game uses a new engine and will be released on November 5th for the platforms mentioned. The game’s storyline is not yet clear and since the Ghost character actually died in Modern Warfare 2, this could deal with something else.
It is this year’s Call of Duty game. There will be no Modern Warfare in the title, and it seems they’ve dropped that brand. The game will be announced on May 21st at Microsoft’s Xbox 720 reveal event.
We will update this post with more information as we receive it.
