Black Ops 2: DDOS attacks force #1 player on Xbox 360 to reset stats

This is one of the worst things that can ever happen to any competitive player.

“Retrominano”, who is or rather was the no. 1 ranked player on Call of Duty Black Ops 2, found how exactly jealous and hurtful people can be online on Xbox 360. Sometimes when you are extremely competitive some people just won’t like that and will use wrong means to put you down.

The sad thing is that it actually worked on this player and he reset his stats to stop these negative people from DDOSing him. Denial of Distributed Service is a tactic used by many people who flood the IP address or server with so many fake connections that it simply stops responding.

He had posted a message via PC to tell people about how he was being DDOSed by a guy in the US.

According to the Reddit post here, he had reset his IP but to no avail. These people were hellbent on making him suffer due to whatever reasons, be it jealously or just pure competition where you use any means necessary.

You can see in the image below, he has reset his stats and is now a lowly rank 1 player. His oppressors won, and Treyarch could do nothing about it. They should have but it isn’t clear why he didn’t complain.

He seems to be getting a lot of support which means he was a skilled player. No one should have to go through this, however, there was a story about how an Eve Online player got his electricty connection cut so that people could shoot down his ship.

What do you think? Let us know below.

This is complete horse crap, if your mad about someone being better then you, then be a man/woman and practice, dont ddos. I had this happen to me lat night for simply using a shotgun in FFA (trying to get it gold) and when I finially earned my camos I was ddosed and POOF! whatever I earned that game is gone. Even though mine isnt as severe I still feel his pain.

Treyarch should do something about it I guess.
