Ken Levine, boss of Irrational Games, has hinted that the BioShock Vita project could still happen and he’s trying to make a match between Sony and 2K.
The intentions for the port was first revealed when Levine came on the Sony E3 stage back in 2011 and expressed interest in BioShock Vita. It has gone nowhere till now, and we don’t have an idea of what is going on with the project.
Maybe it hasn’t even begun and negotiations are still going on, but it looks like there won’t be one. The Vita is a promising device and considering BioShock Infinite is one of the highest rated games of this generation, a BioShock game on the Vita could prove to be a system seller.
Here’s what Levine said on his Twitter when asked about the status of the project:
“I talked to both Sony and 2k about it yesterday. Trying to make a match,” he tweeted.
Shahid Kamal, who works at SCEE and builds up business relations, also expressed interest and requested Levine to email him. Does that mean this project will finally be greenlighted? It’s hard to say.
We will keep you updated once we hear more on this. Stay tuned to Gamechup.
