BioShock Vita: Ken Levine says he talked to Sony and 2k

Ken Levine, boss of Irrational Games, has hinted that the BioShock Vita project could still happen and he’s trying to make a match between Sony and 2K.

The intentions for the port was first revealed when Levine came on the Sony E3 stage back in 2011 and expressed interest in BioShock Vita. It has gone nowhere till now, and we don’t have an idea of what is going on with the project.

Maybe it hasn’t even begun and negotiations are still going on, but it looks like there won’t be one. The Vita is a promising device and considering BioShock Infinite is one of the highest rated games of this generation, a BioShock game on the Vita could prove to be a system seller.

Here’s what Levine said on his Twitter when asked about the status of the project:

“I talked to both Sony and 2k about it yesterday. Trying to make a match,” he tweeted.

Shahid Kamal, who works at SCEE and builds up business relations, also expressed interest and requested Levine to email him. Does that mean this project will finally be greenlighted? It’s hard to say.

They better let this happen because that would be the only reason i would buy a vita otherwise i’ll stick to the 3ds

I don’t think it will happen, though. It would just cost too much and probably won’t sell enough.

it does make sense, because the way i was thinking about it, was if they made this game for the vita and then some other new games happen to come out the same time as this it would sell the vita definitely imo i haven’t gotten a vita yet but killzone mercenary is making me want to buy a vita
