Voice recognition is a cool feature and has taken the world by storm ever since Apple introduced Siri in iPhone 4. Now many gadgets have it including SmartTVs from various companies.
However, Samsung has revealed that if you are using voice recognition on their SmartTVs, your spoken information will be captured and transmitted to third-parties, and this includes sensitive or personal information.
Now the TV may be a SmartTV but it doesn’t know to differentiate between sensitive and non-sensitive info, therefore it would be better if you can restrict what you say in front of your TV if you like the voice recognition feature.
You can check out their disclaimer below which clearly mentions that they will record and transmit information to third-parties.
