Nintendo lost exclusivity of Rayman Legends after Ubisoft confirmed it will be headed to the PS3 and Xbox 360.
People have been tweeting Hideki Kamiya and asking him whether Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 will come to the PS3 and Xbox 360 one day, and he implictiy replied that Nintendo has paid them money for putting it on the Wii U, and it’s entirely up to them to decide which platform they will put it on.
We know for a fact that Nintendo won’t even think about the other platforms, so this makes it clear that the game will stay exclusive to the Wii U.
Kamiya tweeted in Japanese: “We’re a development company…Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and W101, and they sell it…So if Nintendo says ‘We’re putting Bayonetta 2 on PS360′ it’ll come out on those platforms…So ask Nintendo about it…”
It is doubtful that the Wii U will get a lot of third party support as EA have mentioned that they are more invested in Gen 4, which presumably means Sony and Microsoft’s next gen consoles.
Rayman Legends’ multiplatform announcement is being seen as a betrayal by many, and even some developers are rumoured to have been disappointed by this announcement.
