It seems DICE is content to stick with a 720p resolution for Battlefield 4, as they have seemingly confirmed that the game will be running at that resolution on the PS4 and presumably on the Xbox One as well.
This is a bit disappointing after the revelation that Killzone: Shadow Fall will be running at 1080p and 30 fps (60 fps in multiplayer). While this allows DICE to push the visuals on the consoles, 720p and 60 fps seems to be the standard for next-gen.
This was revealed by a Twitter user called JackFrags. We don’t have independent confirmation of this information yet but take it with a pinch of salt.
We will keep you updated once we hear more on this. Are you happy with this resolution? Let us know in the comments section below.
