Battlefield 2 in Development, Goes Back To WW2 – Report

It looks like DICE the makers of the hugely successful Battlefield 1 which came out in 2016 is getting a sequel. While the naming of the games might confuse people, this is a direct sequel to Battlefield 1 and will be called Battlefield 2.

Venture Beat reports that the game will be set during World War 2, while the previous game was set during World War 1.

Battlefield 1 has been a hugely successful game for EA with 25 million copies sold. Call of Duty went World War 2 last year and has been successful as well. The sales for the last year’s CoD actually picked up compared to a year before.

The game is said to launch at the end of this year as usual. The game will run on the Frostbite 3 engine and considering how incredible Battlefield 1 looked, we expect this game to look even better.
