Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will contain missions that will be exclusive to the PS3 and PS4, and these missions contain Aveline de Grandpre, the main protagonist of the Vita exclusive Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation. It is a pretty good game as our review here suggests.
The writer of Liberation, Jill Murray, will be back here as well. In the game, Aveline is a bit older but it is not directly related to her story. It’s somewhat of a short story, lead writer Darby McDevitt revealed.
Why this is possible is because of the Animus which lets Abstergo corporation go through people’s memories at will.
“The present-day is set in Abstergo Entertainment – which is this fun, hip company to work for… at first,” McDevitt revealed. “You are able to access the Aveline stuff because your coworkers are working on retrieving different genetic memories from all kinds of different people.” Of course, this being Abstergo, there’s something much darker at play.”
