Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is the next game in the Assassin’s creed franchise.
The game is supposed to be a cross gen game and will be released on current and future platforms. The game is set in the Carribean and has multiple islands including Jamaica, Cuba and Bahamas.
The main protagonist of the game is called Edward Kenway, and he is the father of Haytham Kenway, who was one of the characters in Assassin’s Creed 3.
The game is targeted at a holiday 2013 release like the other Assassin’s Creed games and won’t be a spin off. It’s a numbered game in the series.
Ubisoft have said that the game is made by an all new team and fans will be able to experience a previously-unexplored time period with a new hero. Ubisoft believes it will “be another major leap forward for the franchise.”
It seems like the naval battles from Assassin’s Creed 3 will return in a much bigger and polished form, since the game is centered around pirates.
More details on the game will be revealed soon by the publisher.
